HBO has released a new featurette offering a behind-the-scenes sneak peek at the production for the highly-anticipated second season of “Westworld”.
Acclaimed set decorator Julie Ochipinti talks about the process of building the various sets for the hit sci-fi western fantasy drama and talks about the outright strangeness of her job.
The clip comes as “Westworld” showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy chatted with EW this week with Nolan offering a two-word hint as to the season’s key theme:
“If the first season was a journey inward, this is a journey outward. This is a search for what is else is beyond the park, and what else is in the park. Are there more parks? How big is the park? What’s beyond the park? We think of our seasons as discrete components in the series, to the point where we’ve named our seasons. The first season was called ‘The Maze.’ The second season is called ‘The Door.’”
Season 2 of “Westworld” premieres exclusively on HBO on April 22nd.
