The Room’s Wiseau & Sestero Remake The Dark Knight Interrogation Scene

Movie News

The Room stars Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero have released a recreation of the famous interrogation scene from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight.

The scene centers around Batman trying to get information out of the Joker after he has been arrested trying to kill Harvey Dent, which leads the villain to share his opinion on Batman’s role in the world. Sestero plays Batman and Wiseau (naturally) plays the Joker in the fan-made video from The Nerdist.

It’s not the first time Wiseau has tried his hand at the character either. The Nerdist also released an “audition tape” for the actor in the role earlier this year. Wiseau’s performance as the Joker is… different than Heath Ledger’s legendary take on the character, but there’s a dedication to it that makes it engaging to watch.

The Room was released in 2003 and quickly became considered one of the “best” bad movies of all time. The film has risen in popularity, with Wiseau putting his all into the project and riding the surprising success of the film as a comedy. James Franco starred as Wiseau in last year’s Academy Award-nominated The Disaster Artist.

Wiseau and Sestero’s newest project, Best F(r)iends, will be released on iTunes Sept. 25.
