“Game of Thrones” and “Narcos” alum Pedro Pascal is joining the cast of the “Wonder Woman” sequel at Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Films.

The follow-up is set in the 1980s against the backdrop of the Cold War, but details of Pascal’s role are being kept secret. He joins a cast that includes Gal Gadot returning as Diana, and Kristen Wiig starring as the villain Cheetah.

Pascal also has a familiarity with the “Wonder Woman” franchise, he had a supporting role in David E. Kelley’s failed 2011 pilot for a TV series version starring Adrianne Palicki.

Pascal recently starred in “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” will be seen later this year in “The Equalizer 2” and is currently filming “Triple Frontier”.
