A few months ago came reports that “Lucy,” “The Fifth Element” and “Valerian” director Luc Besson had been accused of sexual assault by an actress who had worked with him on several projects.
While that investigation remains ongoing, French outlet Mediapart (via The Playlist) has published a new report with more women now coming forward claiming to have allegedly experienced various levels of inappropriate sexual behavior from the famous French director.
One is reportedly one of Besson’s casting crew who worked with him over a six-year period and claims that the filmmaker forced himself on her on multiple occasions.
Another woman claims Besson had allegedly arranged a callback meeting in his hotel room where he trapped her and threw himself on her to kiss her and touch her.
Also, an employee at EuropaCorp claims Besson forced a kiss and tried to touch her inappropriately. She added that even when she said no, he would still make advances to her and they would progressively get worse.
Besson has yet to comment on the new allegations but steadfastly denied the previous claims months ago. Besson’s company EuropaCorp is financially struggling presently following a series of box office disappointments.
